We’re starting 2021 with presenting you the next installment of our label’s ‘Nu Breeds’ series which as always sees the works from young and up-and-coming artists around the globe.

‘Nu Breeds 19’ includes fresh and exclusive tracks by: Kiven Yantra from Austria, Alex Turr from France, Igor Thompson and Mobideep from Russia, and Miklo from Sweden.

Working on a collab with my friend Future Self, starting from an aptly named “Megadeep” stems pack he created. The Deluge is really great for working with this type of project! Just dump the files on the card, load them up in a kit and away you go. Add some samples and external synth sequences et viola!

Working on a remix of Groove Govnor’s track All About, coming out on the Personal Belo gings label in 2021.

The Deluge is amazing for remixes and colabs, it’s basically just dump the stems on the card, load them in a kit and start jamming!

Gear used in this one is Synthstrom Deluge (of course!), Twisted Electrons MegaFM, Waldorf Pulse 2, Waldorf Streichfett, Audiothingies Micromonsta, Jomox Mbase11 & Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1.

Had a few questions after my last video on the Twisted Electrons MegaFM how it compares to other FM synths, mainly the classics from Yamaha as well as the Digitone. Don’t have a Digitone but I do have a TX81Z, so I decided to do a side by side comparison of how they sound.

I set up the MegaFM to control the TX81Z via a mapping in Midiflow on the iPad that translates the CC’s sent by the MegaFM into the Sysex messages the TX81Z wants.

It should also be compatible with DX21/DX27/DX100, and could probably quite easiliy be adapted to other 4op synths if necessary (FB-01, TQ-5…).
